One sunny morning, Joaquim found an old, crinkly map in the attic. 'Look what I found!' he exclaimed, showing it to Anne and Bella. The map showed a path leading to a hidden chest in their backyard. 'Let's find it!' Anne said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

The Mysterious Map

With the map in Anne's backpack, they started their quest. They followed the winding path drawn on the map, through the garden and past the big oak tree. 'This is like a treasure hunt!' Joaquim laughed. Bella clapped her hands with joy.

The Adventure Begins

The map led them to a rose bush, with a riddle attached: 'I can be cracked, made, told, and played. What am I?' After thinking hard, Anne shouted, 'A joke!' Behind the bush, they found a key and a note saying, 'For the chest.'

The Riddle of the Roses

Their next clue pointed them to a small brook. A wooden bridge crossed over it, but one of the planks was missing. Carefully, Joaquim helped Anne and Bella across. 'Teamwork makes the dream work,' he said, smiling.

Finally, they reached the spot marked 'X' on the map. Digging with their hands, they uncovered a small, wooden chest. 'We found it!' Anne exclaimed. They used the key from the rose bush to open it.

Inside the chest, they found old coins, shiny stones, and a note that read, 'The real treasure is the adventure and the friends we make along the way.' They hugged each other, feeling richer than ever before.

With the chest in hand, they made their way back home. They talked about how much fun they had and the obstacles they overcame. 'We did it together,' Anne said. Bella nodded, her eyes wide with wonder.

The Return Journey
