Sally Snail must overcome an obstacle after moving in to her first home. She wants independence.  Sally can’t get the mail at her new house because the mailbox is too tall. She asks for help from her 3 friends: Bailey Bear, Damien Dog, Timothy Turtle. Ben the Bear is a friend of Sally’s, but has been disabled his whole life. He tries to find a way to help his friend reach the mailbox. His wheelchair is to big to help lift her up to the mailbox.
Damien Dog has been blind for all his life. He is a close friend of Sally's . He has great ideas, but feels unhelpful because he is blind. He is the strongest one of the friends. Timmy the Turtle has Autism. He acts very strange and knows it. He is the smartest of the friends. He can come up with a plan to get Sally to her mail, but he does not have the strength to lift heavy objects. He has been teased all his life, but feels comfortable with his friends. He comes up with a plan to build a ramp so Sally can get her mail.


Sally the Snail can't get the Mail

Sally Snail had just moved into her cozy new home with a beautiful purple shell. She was excited to live on her own and be independent. But there was a problem; the mailbox was too tall for her to reach. Sally knew she needed help, so she decided to ask her friends.

A New Home

First, Sally went to Bailey Bear, who was playing basketball. Bailey wanted to help but his wheelchair couldn't lift Sally high enough. Next, she visited Damien Dog, who, despite his blindness, was eager to help but worried he might accidentally hurt Sally. Lastly, Sally talked to Timothy Turtle, who was reading a book. Timothy was smart and began to think of a plan.

Asking for Help

Timothy Turtle had an idea. He suggested building a ramp so Sally could easily reach the mailbox. Bailey could use his strength to help build it, and Damien could give directions with his keen sense of hearing. Sally was thrilled with the plan and felt lucky to have such wonderful friends.

Timothy's Plan

Together, the friends worked hard to build the ramp. Sally watched in amazement as her friends turned Timothy's plan into reality. When the ramp was finished, Sally glided up it and reached her mail for the first time. She was overjoyed and grateful, realizing that with a little help from friends, anything is possible.
