In a small town, there was a legend of a cave monster named Fredrick and his ghost servant. They were said to haunt kids who stayed up late and didn't turn their night lights on. Marcus and Lucas, two brothers, knew this tale by heart. But Marcus, the younger, didn't believe a word.

The Legend

One night, Marcus decided to prove the legend wrong. He stayed up late, reading under his blanket, with his night light off. Lucas, worried, begged him to turn the light on. But Marcus just laughed it off.

A Night Without Fear

Suddenly, the room grew cold and a ghostly figure appeared. It was the ghost servant! Without a word, it grabbed Marcus and vanished. Lucas, in shock, knew he had to save his brother.

The Kidnapping

Lucas remembered the legend said the monster lived in a nearby cave. Taking his flashlight, he set out to find his brother. The night was dark and the way was scary, but Lucas pressed on.

The Rescue Plan

In the cave, Lucas found Fredrick, the cave monster, looming over Marcus. Gathering all his courage, Lucas shone his flashlight on Fredrick. The monster, surprised by the light, stepped back.

Lucas then turned the light towards the ghost servant. The ghost flickered under the beam. Lucas realized that light was their weakness. He kept the flashlight steady, and the ghost vanished into thin air.

With the ghost gone, Fredrick had no power over Marcus. Lucas quickly grabbed his brother and they ran out of the cave. Once safe, they hugged each other, relieved. They had faced their fears together.

A Brother's Bond

Back home, Marcus was a changed boy. He apologized to Lucas for not listening and thanked him for saving him. From that night on, Marcus made sure to be in bed on time and always kept his night lights on.
