The new kid goes to school not knowing anyone. The bully bullies her because she has problems going on at home. The bully goes home and her mom talks to her about empathy and not to bully. The new kid goes home crying. The next day the bully apologizes to the new kid and they are now best friends.

Harper was the new kid at school. She felt nervous because she didn't know anyone. As she walked into the classroom, she spotted Macie and Andrea talking. Harper hoped they would be friendly. But instead, Macie started teasing her.

The New Kid in School

Macie went home having a good day. Her mom asked “how was your day.” Macie told her about bullying Harper. Her mom explained why empathy is important. She said, "Try to imagine being in Harper's shoes." Macie imaginary and said I’ll apologize tomorrow.

A Talk at Home

Harper went home crying that day. She told her mom about what happened at school. Her mom gave her a big hug. She said things would get better. Harper hoped her mom was right.

The next day, Macie approached Harper. She apologized for being mean. Harper was surprised but happy. They decided to be friends. Soon, Harper, Macie, and Andrea were playing together every day.
