Once upon a time, in a coral city deep beneath the waves, lived a mermaid named Delphine. Delphine was different from the other mermaids. While others had shimmering scales and bright, colorful tails, Delphine’s scales were a dull brown and her tail, a muddy grey. She often felt out of place in the vibrant city. She wondered why she was so different.
