Bobby and Jojo were excited for the first day of school. They both loved meeting new friends and learning new things. This year, their teacher introduced a new student named Alex. Alex was a bit different from the other kids, but Bobby and Jojo were curious to learn more about him. They noticed that Alex liked to sit quietly and sometimes wore headphones.

A New Friend in Class

During recess, Bobby and Jojo watched as Alex played by himself. Jojo decided to ask the teacher about Alex. The teacher explained that Alex was autistic, which meant he sometimes saw the world differently. Bobby and Jojo learned that Alex might not always want to talk but still enjoyed being around friends. They decided they wanted to include Alex in their games.

Understanding Alex

The next day, Bobby and Jojo invited Alex to play with them. They noticed that Alex loved building with blocks, so they built a big castle together. Alex smiled and laughed, which made Bobby and Jojo very happy. They realized that being kind and patient helped Alex feel comfortable. The three of them became great friends, and Alex started joining them more often.
